Tirupati, Jul 5: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will organise an exhibition of the precious and rare jewellery, which adorn the deity in the Lord Venkateswara temple, in the Oriental College building here from July 7.

The three-day exhibition would be conducted as part of the TTD's diamond jubilee celebrations (Amruthotsavams). All the jewelleries including diamond-studded harams, necklaces, crowns among others costing more than Rs 30,000 crore would be displayed in the exhibition, which would be inaugurated by President Pratibha Patil.

The exhibition would display the valuable jewels presented to the deity, including the great emerald, presented by the Maratta General, Raghoji Bhonsle.

TTD Chief Vigilance Security Officer Ramana Kumar said all necessary security arrangements were made at the exhibition venue to protect the precious jewels.
