Shakespeare M.A. Malayalam

Jayasurya, Roma, Kalabhavan Mani ...
Director: Shyju , Shaji
Shakespeare M.A. Malayalam tells the story of a young dramatist named Pavithran, who writes plays for Jayabharathy Theatres. Pavithran is also known popularly as 'Shakespeare' because of his being a playwright. Kottayam Gopalan, who runs Jayabharathy Theatres, likes him because it is Pavithran's plays that keep his troupe in the limelight.
Pavithran has a habit of borrowing plots from real life and often his plays influence people in real life too. A play that he once wrote about a rowdy turning a good-man resulted in the transformation of a real-life rowdy. Kottayam Gopalan has always been using Pavithran and his dramatic skills to the full.
Once Gopalan makes Pavithran go to a remote village to pen a play based on the life of the village folk there. While Pavithran waits for the muse to inspire him, he comes across Alli, a young country girl who is the epitome of naivety. Alli impresses him as a character and he sets out seeking to know her story. This leads to many dramatic developments, which form the plot of Shakespeare M.A. Malayalam.
Jayasurya plays the protagonist Pavithran while it is Roma who gives life to Alli, playing a village belle for the first time. Kalabhavan Mani is Kottayam Gopalan. The film has as its highlight a simple story told with the theatre as the background.
