 At the recently held IFFK (International Film Festival of Kerala) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kamalhasan was seen busily catching up with his friends from the Malayalam film industry. He was also one of the main invitees at the ceremony.
When he began his inaugural speech, the actor made a personal request to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. "Not only is he an excellent actor, he also has a very good sense of filmmaking. I request him to continue producing more films in Malayalam and Tamil," Kamalhasan said.
Mohanlal waved to him and grinned. Just to make sure that Mohanlal took him seriously, Kamalhasan repeated the message again a little while later in his speech. This time, the audience joined in and cheered the idea.
